Every time i try to change the ads settings on google it tells me that cookies are disabled, but cookies are enabled and both google.com and google.co.uk are listed in the cookie exceptions to allow.

I have tried disabling addons such as adblock and ghostery, i have tried turning off DNT, the help page doesn't work as it only covers chrome/chromium and i have tried asking google themselves and they directed me here.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.
