Why does my download window open with every download?

My work requires me to do a lot of downloading of pictures and other files. But the last few days, every time I download something a download window shows up. I'm not talking about one download window (like it used to be) but rather multiple windows. So if I were to download seven files I would then have seven windows. How can I make this stop?

Excellent! That was the problem right there. I don't even know how I got that add on. Thank you very much for your help. Problem solved.

By default, Firefox lights up the download arrow on the toolbar now instead of launching a separate window. Could it be an add-on? I notice you have something named "Download Manager Tweak." The latest review mentions something about 3-4 windows opening. See: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-manager-tweak/
