It is really helpful, if some sites could be pinned, so that when you open firefox, you could quick access them, instead of writing it in search box. Favourite sites, shows all the recent sites. I have pinned a website , opening and going to the icon, right clicked it and select Pin this site. But when i restart the firefox, it was told that it would be at the left side of the bar. I do not find any tab pinned as an icon. How to rectify this mistake.

App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear the Browsing History

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Longtime no see hi corel sir,

I have enabled the above preferences and had not ticked clear history tab as in your reply. But i could not find when firefox is restartred.
Is it a fact that browsing to the last session has anything to do with it. Or does that mean that i should have the pinned website in open, when the firefox closes.
Will it not be permanently available, when restarting the firefox as tab. Is there any way i could accomplish this?
Do i need to change some settings.
If i prefer this site as bookmark, then it shows with multiple sites in Most visited tab in the bookmark tool bar.

I have used but i do not find any improvement. Then i was happy to add my favourite tab on the mozilla fiefox, by using about:config, In search, i typed browser.newtab.url I double clicked it and changed the string as the name of my favourite website, eg. www.excelfourm.com Then i closed the firefox and restart, Wow, when i just click the new tab, next to the browser a +sign, it goes to my favourite site. I do not know how to create new tabs. Now even if i close the firefox, i just had to click the +sign to get my favourite site.
