So I recently installed Thunderbird on my PC (Windows 8 Pro 64Bit) I also set up a master password I wanted to be sure no one could access any of the email account with out the master password and I stumbled upon a problem.

If you click cancel a few times and the top right (x) at the corner of the prompt eventually after like 6 tries you don't need a password. Just clicking cancel or (x) gives you access to everything.

wondering if there is a fix or update for this issue.

I really like the software but am really all about protecting all the content in my emails.

Thanks

Edward

Works as designed. Read this article to understand what a master password is and what it does.
