The product in the question above is on my program list.....in my Control Panel. Every time I click on your product and click, "Uninstall," it just sits there. I have removed it from my "Program list" on the start button, but I CANNOT get it uninstalled from my Control Panel. Any ideas??

Thank you, Len G

Chosen solution

Restart your computer, then try launching the uninstaller manually. You can find it under <installation folder>\uninstall\helper.exe

If that doesn't work either, manually delete the folders.

  • The default installation folder on 64-bit WIndows is C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\
  • Type the following in the Windows Explorer address bar or the Start Menu search box, then press Enter: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\ Note that your profile folder contains personal data like bookmarks and passwords; leave this folder alone if you plan to reinstall.
  • Type the following in the Windows Explorer address bar or the Start Menu search box, then press Enter: %LocalAppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\ Again, don't delete this folder if you plan to reinstall.

Just curious, is there a reason you are trying to uninstall Firefox? If it is to solve a problem we can help you resolve that :)

I just don't care for Firefox anymore and want it uninstalled. I have bounced around from Chrome to IE to Firefox, trying to discover which browser I am most comfortable with. It is not Firefox.

Just PLEASE tell me how I can unistall it. It makes me very nervous that we are even having this conversation. I have never had a browser to NOT uninstall before. This seems almost malware, virus, kind of odd.
