The forum search is currently broken, so it is not easy to find your question if the search fails and yo haven't bookmarked the thread or do not have a mail with a link.
Your question is here:
OK well at least its not just me, thanks. Do you happen to know when it will be fixed?
P.S. hope this inst a stupid question but if you are a "moderator", does that mean you work for/with Firefox, or are you one of the people who volunteers to help people with issues?
thanks, -Nick
hey cor-el i just thought, besides my questions in my last post....(sorry i ask a lot of questions) could you help me with my other issue which is my main problem its in another "post" or "thread" whatever it is called. I don't know if you can find it right away or if there is somehow a way that i can direct you to it... maybe the url. anyhow i would super appreciate it if you could.
thankyou, -Nick
I hope that they fix these issues shortly, but there seems to be more broken for quite some time the answer count that shows next to replies also doesn't change.
Do you mean the question you asked in the other thread about the vulnerable add-ons of which I posted the link above?
Differences with the plugin check page and the Firefox extension manager may not always easy to interpret. What you see in the extension manager is the result of extensions being blocklisted for various reasons like known security vulnerabilities or causing Firefox to crash or being malware. The best way to proceed is usually to visit the website of the extension and see if there is an update available or in case of installed programs that show in the Windows Control Panel check that in the program itself.
hey cor-el, i went and tried checking for updates for them but they all seemed to be up to date already so i went into my control panel and uninstalled all of them, all the plugins with the vulnerability comment by them-java,shock wave player, flash, everything. Then i went and re-downloaded them in this order: shock wave (then checked my add-ons and it said it was fine, no message) flash player ( also fine no message about vulnerabilities), then finally java which finished, i double checked that it was the latest version which it is, but when i went to check my "add-ons manager" it gives me that message for java still ! the other 2, shock wave & flash are fine.. NOW.. but java is still getting the vulnerability message.
