Since recent update to V31.1.0. Thunderbird fails when sending to mailing lists. Running 64 Bit Windows 7. I read that this is Bug 1060901 but would like to add that I've tried suggested workarounds. Drag/Drop of names in the list works fine so I know all my addresses are OK. Changing spaces to _ in the list name only changes the error message slightly but doesn't fix the problem. Previous version of T'Bird worked fine. I need to use lists on weekly basis so would appreciate fix at soonest opportunity.

The following message to <MyNWfolks> was undeliverable. The reason for the problem: 5.1.1 - Bad destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found'

Reporting-MTA: dns; ipsmtp1msp.int.opaltelecom.net

Final-Recipient: rfc822;MyNWfolks Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 (permanent failure) Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 5.1.1 - Bad destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found' (delivery attempts: 0)

Have you voted for the bug? Have you stated your OS, version of TB and supplied all the information you have stated in this question? If no, then please tell them. you seem to have some extra info that has not been said in the bug:

In the short term, you may feel you want to use an earlier version. You could uninstall Thunderbird via control Panel > Programs and Features and then reinstall version 24.7.

If using Windows OS then click on 'win32' select the language of choice and then download the exe file.

Remember to switch off auto install - maybe choose the option to check for updates but ask me if I want to install.
