Can't sign in sync account
I have a dual boot PC. On Windows the account is set already and I'm trying to set it up on Linux. Of course I can't pair since it's dual boot. The problem is I don't have a recovery key (not sure if I ever had it) I don't have the registration email anymore. If I go in windows and go into settings->sync there's no "Manage Account" button. Please, don't say "it means you haven't set up an account if you don't see it" as I read in other posts, because the account is active and working, but there's no "Manage Account" button. I also have an Android device connected to the Sync account and I tried the pair procedure, but after it completes I get thrown to the user-password-recovery key screen. What I do is this: 1. go into Android (where the account is set) 2. pair account 3. the 3x4 code appears 4. go into Linux 5. pair to a device 6. enter the 3x4 code 7. both devices show progress bar 8. Linux switches to the form where user, password and recovery key are asked, while Android stays stuck in the progress bar screen It seems there's no way to recover it (good job Mozilla -_-') Now, I have read tons of other posts regarding this issue without finding a solution. What people keeps answering are the very same thing, it's like a nightmare, nobody seems to read issue descriptions... So please, don't post the procedure once again (I read it, I know it, I made it and it doesn't work). Don't say I'm not logged into FF Sync on other OS because I am and it works. I just want to know why pairing fails redirecting me to recovery key screen, or how to recover the recovery key (pun intended) or how to make "Manage account" button appear in the OS where the account is set. Thank you very much.

Firefox 28 and Firefox 29 use different versions of Sync. 28 and older versions won't Sync with Firefox 29 and later versions - they aren't compatible with each other. Once a Sync account has been upgraded for the newer version, it won't connect to devices running the older version.
The older version did "Pairing" and used a Recovery Key (which can be viewed in Options > Sync --> Manage Account - Sync Key or something like that
The newer version doesn't use "Pairing" and the "Key" is hidden from the user, it is generated behind the scenes.
Which version of Firefox do you have on the Windows OS? the one that is already set up with Sync
Also, which version of Firefox on Android?
32 everywhere
With Firefox 32 you only need to enter the email and password to connect to the Sync account to setup Sync and connect the computer to the Sync server. Firefox 32 no longer supports paring, so if you still have that screen then you use an older Sync version that has been discontinued and you may not be able to add new devices.
Would you mind explain this to my version 32 browser please? Maybe he's not in the mood...
