I use Firefox as the primary browser on all my computers - 3 desktops, 4 laptops - and they're all set up the same - when I open Firefox it opens to my home page which is my Hotmail account. If I click to open a new tab, it displays my home page - which is what I want. To set them up this way I did the following: in the address bar I typed about:Config; then browser.newtab.url; then right clicked and clicked Modify; then deleted what appears in the dialog box and entered the new url.

Now, suddenly, on one computer (Windows 7), when I click to open a new tab, it opens a generic page. I tried to set it up again. It opens my home page when I click to open a new tab but, if I close the browser and reopen it, it opens to my home page as it should but, when I open another tab, it opens the generic page. What happened and, more importantly, how do I fix it.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...
