I did a new installing of TB v31.4.0 (latest) under Win7 and IMAP. TB installed all folder from my Yahoo account and synchronized them. Now i noticed that TB does not move mails from the INBOX to my IMAP folders in TB, if I move them. It does not matter if I use drag&drop or MOVE TO. The files are gone in the INBOX but they are NOT in my TB IMAP folder on my PC. But they ARE in my Yahoo folder on the Yahoo server. I can see them in Firefox Yahoo Webmail. This does only not work with some folders. But they have nothing special. All the folders are marked to synchronize. I am at a loss with this. Searched a reason for over a week now. Maybe somebody has an idea.

Thanks a lot Benny186

I noticed that this behavior is even changing. Sometimes some mail move to my local IMAP folder works, sometimes not. Very annoying.  ;-) But moved mails ALWAYS show up in the Yahoo Network folder afterwards. And get never back to my folder on PC. Who understands this???

check the Tools menu > Account settings > server settings for the account and click the advanced button.

Ensure the allow server to over ride and the use IDLE are both checked.

While in might be a PITA try using windows safe mode with networking for a while to move some stuff around and see if updates occur.

Thanks a lot Matt for your reply. Well As far as I understand you, all hocks have to be set. Please see attached picture (sorry for the German window). Is this ok, like it is?

Meanwhile I deleted all *.msf files in ...\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\34feta3.default\ImapMail\

After restarting TB it synchronizes all my folders again. Look like it's working better now. At least I had no problem jet. Thanks a lot. Will watch it an let you know.

Regards Benny  :-)
