I've got an e-mail account with thousands of messages organized in folders. The account has been canceled on the server. Therefore, the only copy that remains of the messages in this account is in my Thunderbird. As this account has been cancelled in the server, Thunderbird asks me, everytime it checks for new messages, for the password of the account.

How can I make Thunderbird stop asking me that, ie, how can I make Thunderbird not check for e-mails of this account?

Make folders under Local Folders and move the messages there. Then Remove the account after verifying that the messages moved and you can read them.

There has to be an easier way (also, Thunderbird does not allow me to move the messages to a different folder).
