I found sectorspdr.com on Options/advanced. Can I remove it?

more options

when I select Options - Advanced - Network I see below the 'Offline Web Content and User Data' heading in the "The following websites are allowed to store data for offline use" I see 'www.sectorspdr.com'. What is this program or website for? Does its presence mean it IS ALLOWED TO STORE DATA or does it mean it IS NOT ALLOWED TO STORE DATA??

The offline data is for web apps to be able to use when you are disconnected from the web. Sites listed in the box have been allowed. To see blocked sites, click the Exceptions button.

If you are not using any web apps from that site, or extensions that might be loading the site in the background, I think you can safely remove its stored data.

Of course, if it comes right back, then you should review your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, on the right side, do you see anything SPDR or investment related?
