when I try to enter www.asiandate.com a pop-up tab on the left hand side of the page says: "please fill out this field" so I click on it and it takes me back to the same webpage - and we start the stupid procedure all over again. How do I delete this stupid block?

I don't see that, but I'm not registered for the site...

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

This article has the steps: How to clear the Firefox cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click/Ctrl+click the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Hello,

So far so good. It clearly made a big difference to the internet speed as the cache had such a large of "stuff" in it. So, now it will cear the cache follow every internet visit.

The annoying little message came up again, but with no history collected and therefore no files in the history box...it disappeared...so far.

Many thanks

OK. Just tried the site this morning. Same problem. Cannot get passed:

"Please fill out this field" which is under the 'Most Visited' Tab. But now as the cache clears each time - this field is empty. It is there anyway that Mozilla can disable or remove this stupid pop-up!

The "Most Visited" tab? Firefox has a "bookmark" (actually, it shows a list of results from your history) which shows your Most Visited sites. This usually sits on the Bookmarks Toolbar or Bookmarks Menu. Is that the one you're seeing or something else?

Perhaps it would help to post a screen shot of the form. This article has tips on capturing screenshots: How do I create a screenshot of my problem? Please cut or blur anything sensitive out of the image before attaching it to a reply.

Also, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any difference?
