WHEN I CLICK ON "GET MESSAGES" I GET A MESSAGE, "SERVER mithra@frontiernet.net" HAS DISCONNECTED. THE SERVER MAY HAVE GONE DOWN OR THERE MAY BE A NETWORK PROBLEM". THERE IS NO NETWORK PROBLEM AS EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS OK.

I CONTACTED FRONTIER AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS A PROBLEM AT MOZILLA.

Thunderbird is email client software running on YOUR computer. Ask them where this Mozilla problem might be located. This forum as been loaded with this same Frontier problem this week. Like Matt says Frontier is having problem. They just are not smart enough to realize that.

If I am reading the poster correctly Fronteir works. A bit like molasses pours on a cold morning.

But frontier say everything is OK.

I CONTACTED FRONTIER AGAIN AND JEFF WAS KIND ENOUGH TO WALK ME THROUGH CONVERTING IMAP TO POP3. IT GOT ME TO RECEIVING MESSAGES BUT THEN IT WOULD ONLY BRING UP MESSAGES A FEW SECONDS AT A TIME AND AT THIS POINT I WAS AT APRIL, 2015. I MONKEYD WITH IT FOR AWHILE AND SURE ENOUGH, THE NEXT DAY IT GOT BETTER BY ITSELF. I STILL DON'T KNOW IF WHAT I DID HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE END RESULT BUT IT SEEMS TO WORK FINE NOW. SO MOTE HIT BE.
