When opening a tab it slowly stretches out before it loads.

For the toolbar buttons you would click on them and then they would slowly fade in and then slowly fade out.

When clicking on show bookmarks button it loads instantly

for the options button it loads but the tab then needs to slowly expand before it shows up

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
