connected to secure banking, but can't log on. Keeps saying connecting. Was ok yesterday. Sometimes the firefox circle spins backwords.
This is only happening on my secure bank website. I cleared recent history. Closed browser and started a new one. I can sign on to other secure websites. It opens the bank site, but when I type in my sign on id, it just keeps spinning the firefox wheel and says connecting. I never get an error, it just never connects. Firefox version is 42.0
I also called my bank and they said there are no problems with their site and verified by logging in successful, and not one else it calling. Not sure what changed in Firefox from yesterday, since it does not give me an error message.
Thank you for your assistance.

¡Hola!
Please see Fix login issues on websites that require a username and password
Let us know if this solves the problem.
¡Gracias!
I tried all of the fix login issues above that you suggested, and it still will not accept my logon id. It just keep spinning and saying connecting.
Should I try a 'Refresh Firefox' or maybe reinstalling Firefox. Also, is it safe to install Firefox 43.0 which is now available in BETA.
This did not solve the problem as I stated above. I may have pressed the wrong button. This is first time for me posting on this site.
Problem is not resolved
What security software do you have?
You can check the connection settings.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":
It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
I an using Norton 360 antivirus s/w I have tried everything suggested and nothing seems to fix this problem. I was able to sign in from my ipad, which uses Safari. I tried safari on my laptop and still can't get onto this site.
