The url autofill is not working despite being set to true.

When I type urls that I frequently go to, it is not autofilled, in fact nothing is autofilled when I type in the url bar, common or otherwise, and sometimes the desired website is not even in the dropdown list. In about:config it is set to true. Please help me fix this or tell me how to go back to the lower version that also allowed me to use xkit for tumblr since I am also annoyed about not being able to blacklist things I don't want to see.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.


You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.
