Sharepoint file name truncates at first space

more options

All was working well a week ago. I could download files from SharePoint with a full name. Now, the file names truncate at the first space in the file name. I located a fix from ages ago called truncfix.xpi, but it is not available from approved site. Any suggestions.

I tried reverting to v42.0. It may be a new SharePoint - FireFox compatiblity issue. Chrome and Internet Explorer download the full names, spaces and all.

There is a longstanding issue... From the unofficial community site mozillaZine:

I don't know why the behavior on your Sharepoint server would suddenly change, though. Programmer error?

I found an updated extension which can modify response headers, so conceivably add quotation marks around the filename sent by the server to fix this problem, but I haven't tested it to see whether it works on downloads and, if so, whether it can be set to do it automatically or would need to be used on a case-by-case basis.
