Thunderbird creates duplicates of other inbox folders on Local Folders

Hi,

there is something odd happening with my Thunderbird: it creates duplicates of other inbox folders on 'Local Folders'. This seems to happen at random and just by itself. Then I delete the folder, but a few days later there is another duplicated inbox folder on Local Folders. It's very strange, it is some inbox on one of my e-mail accounts and it's being duplicated as inbox in 'Local Folders'.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but just as extra info: a few weeks ago I re-installed my OS (Win 7) and I copied the Thunderbird profile folder in order to keep all my folders, e-mails and settings.

I hope someone can help me solve this issue. Or could this be some kind of bug maybe?

Are these POP accounts? I'm wondering if somehow you have the global inbox enabled for at least one of them: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Global_Inbox Have a look at your Server Settings, especially the 'advanced' options.

Well, I just checked, and those setting seem to be fine. All are set to have pop e-mail downloaded to the inbox of each particular account.

What is also odd, when these duplicated folders appear on Local Folder: they have duplicates of e-mails in them, so those are not even new e-mails.

anybody else? I am still having this issue, the same inbox folder (including its sub-folders) just got duplicated as an inbox in Local Folders again.... I keep deleting it but a few days later there's a new duplicate......

any ideas what could be the cause of this and how to fix this?
