Every time I log in to a remote computer through LogMeIn, Firefox asks me if I want the password saved. I continue to say "never for this site" and it continues to ask me every time.

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.

  • do not clear the Site Preferences
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
  • clearing cookies will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep

It is possible that the website uses multiple domains for load balancing. In such a case you might end up on a different server with each visit.

I think LogMeIn generates a unique host name every time you access a system. I'm not sure if this is for their benefit in spreading users around in their infrastructure, or for you benefit in preventing others from hijacking your session. Either way, I think Firefox views every single one as a different site to ask you about.
