Recently I have been unable to download or sent emails from my PC, my laptop however does download and send all mails. Both are Windows10 and running Thunderbird 45.4.0 the only difference is my PC is POP and my laptop is IMAP other than that my server settings are identical. If I reinstall Thunderbird onto my PC will I lose all details addresses etc. or is there another method of solving the issue. Regards David

Thank you for your input Matt I have disabled Norton as you suggested but the problem persists. I Haven't altered the family safe settings for Windows 10

The server details I use are correct, I have rechecked with my ISP, they do work perfectly with other email clients and on my Laptop,tablet and mobile. They tell me that Madasafish never applied to my account which has always remained as globalnet.

I simply cannot see what happened on my PC between the 13th October and the 18th other that the Thunderbird update on the 16th. Obviously something did but it has so far eluded me.

I am so frustrated being unable to use my Thunderbird.

open the error console Ctrl+Shift+J CLear it. Attempt to get mail on the account. Does anything interesting appear in the error console.
