When trying to update Facebook status, it hangs for a few then the browser completely crashes.
I was on MSN dot com and opened a new tab, Facebook. I tried to update my status and it froze then crashed. I logged out, back in to Facebook, did it again, crashed again and again and again. I cleared cookies, history and even deleted Firefox and reinstalled it via Safari. Still crashes when trying to update status, I can browse Facebook but can't update status.....

Hi, just an inspired guess; in the Add-ons Manager (Cmd+Shift+A), try setting Facebook Video Calling by Skype to 'Never Activate.'
If you are getting a crash report, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!
Thanks, I did the Skype never activate, Ill restart my browser and do it again but now it's also doing it on Safari too...
Nope, didn't do anything. It still stuck in "complete status update" mode. I can browse, play app games, etc. but it won't delete the incomplete status update and just keeps on crashing
Since you have the same issue on Safari, it's unlikely to be a Firefox problem, and therefore outside the scope of this forum, so you should try a Mac forum for more help.
(It might be worth looking at your Firewall in case that is blocking FB).
Actually it doesn't happen on Safari, just Firefox. Here are the 'bp' based crash reports bp-0503c7eb-2dc0-468d-bcb6-2060b2161208
