How can I add my old firefox bookmarks and session files, instead of replacing them?
I have a few folders of "Old Firefox Data".
1) The bookmarks backups are in JSON, but firefox imports HTML files. When I simply copy/paste those JSON files to bookmarks folder of Firefox, it doesn't work. I don't see any more bookmarks than I already have. So, how can I add my old bookmarks to current ones? 2) I tried the same thing for session files. I tried to copy/paste backup.session from old firefox data folder to my sessions folder under my profile, I don't see any other session files added, after I close Firefox and start again.
What am I doing wrong? What should I do to correctly do these?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1143817 You never responded to the answer provided there about the Session Manager add-on. Does your question today about "session files" pertain to Session Manager backup files?
If so, have you read the documentation for that add-on? http://sessionmanager.mozdev.org/documentation.html
As far as working with JSON (or jsonlz4') bookmarksbackup files ....
Restore replaces existing bookmarks; Import appends existing bookmarks.
The least complicated method is to create a new Profile and then Restore each of the JSON files one at a time, and doing an Export in HTML format for each of the old JSON files that you have - before Restoring the next backup file. Then Import each of those bookmarks.html files one after another to append any existing bookmarks. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
You normally import a JSON backup in the Bookmarks Manager (Library). This will replace all current bookmarks, so if you need to preserve any then you first need to make an HTML backup. Then you can import the HTML backup afterward.
