I can't send a picture to a friends phone. I have version 45.8.0
I can send mms messages from my Thunderbird but they don't get the pictures. I use the same address in my Gmail account and it works fine. Pretty much a hassle to switch accounts to send a picture when we are chatting from my main account. What settings do i need to change to send a picture to a cell phone?

If you copy yourself do you get the images? If so it is the receivers problem to fix.
copy myself? Like to another email account or to my cell, or just back to myself from the account that I'm having problems with? I'll try sending it back to my same account and see what happens.
I sent it to my email account. I got the pic. I send it to my cell, nothing. I send it to any cell phone, no pic. I switch to my gmail account and all is well. I use my hotmail account, fine. I use my outlook, fine. why can't i use my main, normal email to send pics to a cell phone? What am i doing wrong? EVERYONE must be having this prob? No? I'm the only person using email?
When you say it works from your gmail or hotmail account, is that by using Google Talk on the Gmail website or Skype on the Hotmail website? A question about sending a picture 'to a phone' in this forum is usually understood as sending to an email account that is read on a phone. I have no experience with chat in TB, but it may well be it is limited to plain text (SMS) and not text plus pictures (MMS). But there should be no problem sending pictures to an email account, no matter what kind of device it is read on.
Not what i meant. When i use my gmail account and the address to my phone, xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com for verizon, the pic comes through with the text message. If i use my Thunderbird account, which i would prefer, no pic comes through. Only the text message.
OK, you're trying to send a mms to a feature phone through the Verizon gateway service, vzwpix.com, i.e. Verizon Pix Place. Since it's a feature phone, it doesn't support regular email accounts. When you say it works from your gmail account, is that account set up in TB, or are you sending from the gmail website? If it's the latter, that could explain why it doesn't work from an account set up in TB, as sending through webmail and sending through TB are not identical processes.
that's correct. I'm sending through webmail when it works. It used to work with outlook express just fine. So when i switched i had hoped to continue being able to do that. I guess that it just isn't possible. Thanks for the help
