How do I remove google maps from firefox as it won't let me see my preset icons/links to websites

more options

Ever since installing google maps onto firefox I can't see my preset icons anymore. I would either like to remove google maps or find a way for my preset icons to show up when I click on firefox.

Thank you for sharing your add-ons list. You have an extension named maps. I do not think it is an official Google extension.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any system extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious? If in doubt, disable.

Sometimes a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox before the change takes effect. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?

thank you for this support. my cognitive abilities struggle with most directions yet I could navigate these directions with ease. Solved my problem but it would be nice to have the maps application as well as keeping my firefox icon window. It amazes me that the makers of that ap actually think people would want to lose this part of firefox to their inferior navigation window! thanks again.

Is their (overly intrusive) page better than Google maps on the web?

https://www.google.com/maps

Maybe you can find a more respectful alternative.
