I think it's great that the new Firefox Quantum has slowed down my internet browsing by about 400%. It encourages the kids to get out and play since they can't use Firefox for anything! Heck, I had to open Internet Explorer just to download Google Chrome in order to get anything done on the internet over the past few days! I just hope the kids don't find out about IE or Chrome!!!

Thanks again,

Jess

Am so glad you are so thrilled and I can only imagine the fun the kids must be having doing what kids should.

Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser. Restart Firefox

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Why are we having to hunt to get the new foxfire to work properly? The company just did the update, why then did they not let the new engine load correctly? This is like saying that I will give you $100 for free but then you have to work 100 hours to get the money. All this 'safe mode' stuff should have been corrected before putting the product out to the public.

Actually there's no setting for accessibility to be set to true or false. Did you mean if Activated is set to "true"? And what if it's set to "false"? Mine looks like this:

Activated false Prevent Accessibility 0 Accessible Handler Used true Accessibility Instantiator

I am having similar slowing problems. Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser is already checked and I have altered the accessibility.force_disabled value to 1 which did help somewhat.
