Every time I use password manager to access a website, all windows and tabs in FF freeze, and a 'not responding' message shows in status line. Usually lasts 20-30 seconds. then window switches to settings tab and an error is shown.

The page eventually loads and the password manager entered the credentials correctly in the secured site area.

hm, ok that's unfortunate - do you use any external password managers that might interfere here? does the same problem also occur when you launch firefox in safemode once for testing the issue? Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
