How can I lock the home page in Firefox on my iMac so it can't change?

I have an iMac, running OS 10.13.6, and Firefox 62.0, and periodically another search engine takes over my home page. I know how to change it back, but o\is there a way to lock it so this can't happen? I've already removed add-ons and extensions, but I want to be able to lock it so this can't happen. I did run across an archived exchange from about 4 years ago, but the instructions in that discussion didn't work, because when I click on "tools" the dropdown doesn't include "options." Can you help me lock this so I don't have to keep changing my home page back to what I set it at?

Hi, if your having problems with this changing all the time you have bigger problems I would think and when it does change it is a warning sign that maybe you should do a scan : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

I have a Mac - I've done scans and had it checked. There are no viruses, and I have no malware or spyware on my computer. I still want to know how to lock this so it can't happen.
