Hello,

I set a "New Tab"-extension, I my case tabliss, as the homepage in Firefox. If I press the home button it takes me to the tabliss page, and new tabs opened show the tabliss page too.

But when I freshly start Firefox it displays a blank page instead of the tabliss-page set as homepage.

If I set the homepage to a website like "www.google.com", Firefox starts with the homepage loading. If I use the link for link for the newtab extension in the format of "moz-extension://86e26a65-8e16-45d1-88e7-ea7d7f9dc9d3/index.html" the homepage is not loaded on startup. (I tried this with other extensions too, which modify the new tab page and have the same problem.)

I greatly appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

Hi, this seems to be bug that is affecting a number of New Tab page extensions - https://github.com/darktrojan/newtabtools/issues/436 Note the bug link to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1490260

One working New Tab extension that the developer has implemented a workaround in is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/quick-dial/ See https://github.com/MatMoul/quickdial-webext/issues/108

It seems to be down to whether/when Mozilla fixes the bug, or the developer of your extension can work around it!
