Title says it all. Not sure why FF thinks that we shouldn't have the pull down to access our frequent sites but here we are again. The fix for 75 doesn't work in 77. I did find a suggested fix for 77 on winaroo but it doesn't work for me.

Please help, I NEED pull down in the address bar.

The following configuration changes to get the old address bar back:

Load about:config in the browser's address bar. Confirm that you will be careful. Search for the following preferences and set them all to FALSE browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus browser.urlbar.update1 browser.urlbar.update1.interventions browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips Restart the Firefox web browser.

I'm sorry, that does not work for 77 only 75.

From the link "Firefox users may roll back the address bar changes currently but some of the preferences will be removed in the near future (likely in Firefox 77)."

more options

Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a) "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons. type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return.

Currently, you can display the classic "Show History" list by typing a space in the address bar. I don't think there's a way to do it with the mouse.

I created an add-on which can drop down a similar list, but it doesn't integrate with the address bar drop-down. If you really want a button, you could take a look and consider its limitations and features:

For better or worse I uninstalled FF and went back to version 74
