How do I get ctrl+shift+v in google docs to work?

more options

I've been searching online for a solution. But all the solutions that were presented doesnt work for me.

When I'm using Google Sheets, ctrl+shift+v doesn't paste anything at all. I tried safe-mode, still doesnt work.

Really dont want to use Chrome, but ctrl+shift+v works on it.

You want to paste without formatting? When I looked at this in January:

(1) Right-click > Paste Special > Paste values only

This worked with many sources, but there was a problem pasting from Excel this way.

(2) Double-click to invoke editing mode and then use Ctrl+v

This works for a single cell, but not for a range.

(3) Paste into a plain text container, re-copy, then Ctrl+v

This works, but is a hassle so you would reserve it for special cases. The plain text container could be Notepad, or another plain text editor, or a Google Sheets note.

Maybe there's a new workaround or solution since my earlier testing. (I didn't look at add-ons, for example.)
