Is there a way to bring back the old Send to device firefox share option in apps outside of firefox?

There are 2 problems that I'm experiencing:

1) There used to be a share option from any app on my Android phone to send a link directly to any device with firefox installed (like my desktop). It was an amazing feature and an easy and convenient way to links from my phone to my computer. Now if I want to send a link from an app outside of firefox using the firefox send to device feature, I have to click Share>Firefox (which simply opens the link in firefox)>menu>share icon>send to device.

The new version of firefox has managed to take a 2 click process that can be done from within ANY app, and turned it into a 5 click process and forces firefox to open which slows down your workflow. This is a massive step backwards IMHO.

The functionality of the new Share>Firefox funtion also doesn't make sense if you have set Firefox as your default browser - it simply opens the link in firefox, which I could have done just by clicking on the link.

The worst part about the new process is that it doesn't always work! Which brings me to problem 2...

2) Often after clicking on menu>share icon>send to device, my devices aren't listed and it just has an error symbol and says something like "no devices available." The workaround that I have found is to keep repeating the process until eventually all my devices are listed. It is annoying and time consuming.

Please let me know if there is a way to bring back the old Send to device firefox share option in apps outside of firefox?
