1.) After updating to Thunderbird 78.4.0, all my email folders and sub-folders imported years ago from Eurdora email client appearing in Thunderbird 68.12.1 and prior under LOCAL FOLDERS as folder items under Eudora Mail mail main folder were MISSING together with all content (including current messages for which those earlier imported content category folders still used . Only resolution was to do system restore and then configure Thunderbird 68.12.1 to NOT automatically download and install application updates.

Could someone kindly respond with an explanation for why that issue occurred and a solution for it so that main and sub-folders under Thunderbird LOCAL FOLDERS do not change (as they never have previously) when updating to latest version?

2.) Also, my Thunderbird email accounts are POP3 configured and upgrading to version 78.4.0 changed at least one account setting which blocked mail retrieval. Could someone kindly respond on whether version 78.4.0 configuration settings need to be changed to properly support POP3 accounts?

Thank you.
