I want to sync my android phone with my desktop PC. I follow the instructions on the phone and scan the QR code on the PC and then I always get "missing oauth parameter.channel.id" Bad request.

Please assist.

Hi

What happens when, instead of using a QR code, you verify using email?

more options

It says to open settings on my phone and turn on sync. But there is no sync in settings.

I can get the PC Firefox to show the QR code and when I activate the scan on the phone it scans instantly without waiting for me to center the image. Then it says "Pair using an app." "Did you use the system camera? You must pair from within a Firefox app."

I used the scan from within Firefox but it still says this. And there is no way to respond yes or no and move on.

This what I get when I scan the QRcodr on the PC with my phone. How do answer this?

Can someone else help with this?

Okay.

  1. If you open Firefox for Android, open the menu and select Settings.
  2. At the top of the screen, select Turn on Sync.
  3. A screen should appear that has two options, Ready to scan and Use email instead.
  4. Select the email option and you should be able to verify the device by email.

I hope that this helps.

There is no "turn on sync" option in settings. I restarted the app and it's still the same.

Hi

Can you take a screenshot showing the open Settings menu?

The Firefox Account options are at the top of the menu in Firefox for Android.

Ok, thank you.

If you open https://accounts.firefox.com/ on your desktop, do you see your mobile as a connected service?

Yes, as of 2 hours ago, although I did nothing. There is still no sync in settings and the QR never worked, but apparently it's connected now. Thanks for your assistance. .

Hi

Looking at those screenshots, where your email address is listed at the top of the options is the Firefox Sync settings in Firefox for Android.

I hope that this helps.
