I am getting lots of SPAM email I want to filter, but there is no return address from which to create a filter. Without the return address, the filter Dialog box does not open. When I hover over a link in the body, it reads: ppt.cc/****** (*=wildcard) at the bottom of the screen. I Googled the ppt.cc and found it is a Chinese site. How can I create a filter like: Response Address / Contains / ppt.cc / move to Trash?

I purchased a car recently and a few days later found a clause in the paperwork that released them to sell my email address. I've been creating dozens of filters lately using Contains (domains).

The attempt to fight spam with static filters is futile. Use the built-in junk mail controls instead. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages
