Hi, Since some weeks the Norton Virus Sanner (Smart Scan) tells me that the file

   c\program files\mozilla firefox\00009757.tmp is infected with a trojan horse.

The file is removed. But with the next scan it shows up again.

Do you have any insight in this problem (false alarm, caused by some other program)?

Regards Stephan

Interesting... I go to the same directory on Win7 and there are no .tmp files in that directory. see screenshot Did you look at the file properties and get any helpful info?

Unfortunately I do not have any file properties, as Norton has removed the file. I could not find out what action creates the file there. After a lot of browsing today the file did not reappear yet. I will watch the folder and try to find out more about it, when is it created again.

The file also was removed once by Norton from my tablet with Windows 10. On my devices there are also no other .tmp files in the Firefox folder. I am using the newest verison of Firefox.

Okay, mark it as resolved and have a good day.
