Firefox print from Gmail
Hello
We use firefox on linux, last version 106. If we do not disable function browser.download.improvements in about:config, it is impossible to print after opening pdf document and having possibility to ask where to download document. the function "ask where to download" is overriding the print function.
Tried all combinations, everytime something is overridden by one of the option. The only way to be able to choose where to download the document and also be able to print it after opening it in the browser is to disable the function browser.download.improvement.
Shouldn t this be fixed?
Best Regards

What OS? Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
I use manjaro and MX linux and this issue is on both OS. It is more Firefox related. As I wrote, I found solution by disabling function browser.download.improvements_to_download_panels in about:config
There is a miscommunication between option "always ask where to save file" and print in firefox viewer for gmail attachment
See attached, I clicked on icon print and instead of it opened a window to aks where to download
if i disable browser.download.improvements_to_download_panels, then I opens printing window
CTRL P triggers the browser print function which just prints the current page including all the menu items beside the message. If the Firefox popup blocker is on, then it stops Gmail from opening the Print Preview page
it is not firefox popup blocker :-) I repeat that disabling function browser.download.improvements_to_download_panels :-) CTRL P is printing everything not only the document.
Anyway, I solved it, just I wanted to warn firefox developer team to look at this small issue.
Have a nice day!
Mark it as resolved.
