Why all of a sudden am I having this screen appear? When did Thunderbird become Google-dependent? I can't even send email thru my affected gmail account (not the one I'm using to send this).

Plus, I can't attach a .bmp screen shot to this message. Mozilla support doesn't support .bmp images?

Here's the copy/paste of the original complaint screen:

Mozilla Thunderbird Email wants to access your Google Account undefined ca2fl2010@gmail.com This will allow Mozilla Thunderbird Email to:

Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail Click for more information

See, edit, download, and permanently delete your contacts Click for more information

See, edit, share, and permanently delete all the calendars you can access using Google Calendar Click for more information By clicking Allow, you allow this app and Google to use your information in accordance with their respective privacy policies. You can change this and other Account Permissions at any time.

The message comes up because Google insists on approval of all email setups that use email clients, whether Thunderbird or others. Once confirmed, Google stores a password unique to the PC, allowing regular access.
