When I select "Not Now" for remembering a password on a specific page, how can I force Firefox to ask me if I want to save the password again?
Using Vista Home Premium on HP Pavilion (64bit).
When completing a secured sign on to a website for the first time, Firefox asks if I want to "save" the password. If I select "Not Now" is there a way to "force" Firefox to remember the password the next time I log in (or at least ask me again)?

"Not Now" only applied to the time that you visited that website. Choosing "Never.." however will make Firefox create an exception that need to be removed. It doesn't have any lasting effects and Firefox should ask again on a next visit.
You may need to bypass the cache.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Sorry, the solution doesn't seem to be that simple... :-(
Reloaded the page, cleared the cache, exited and relaunched Firefox, even rebooted the system. After each, tried signing into the requested page, but Firefox did NOT prompt to save the password.
Weird... when selecting the "exceptions" button in the Options>Security>Passwords area, the popup window has NO entries... I know there are a couple of bank sites that are exceptions to the Firefox "remember passwords" feature, but they are NOT listed, and do not auto-fill when I access the sites... ???
- Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode.
- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
Evidently that's not the problem either... ? (see attached picture) My privacy settings appear to comply with your recommendations.
Is it perhaps associated with my internet security? I use the purchased version of AVG for internet security.
