Try this to see if it works:
Pull down the drop-down menu next to the Search bar and click "Custom Search Engine", then choose Google as your default one.
thanks for the reply that seems to work but I meant on google homepage where you search it keeps going to AVG search and producing alot less results than normal
sorry should have made that bit abit clearer
like that in the picture keeps showing up like that
You can try this:
1. In the Address bar, type about:config and Enter.
2. In the filter at the top, type: keyword.URL
3. Double click it and remove whatever's in there and then replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=
thanks already done that and doesnt seem to fix the problem any other ideas ?
I've emailed AVG and asked them how to get rid of it it really annoying only just started doing this since AVG updated this afternoon was fine before that could search normally in google
It's possible that the AVG update did something to the Search Engine. Did you disable the toollbar before the update or after?
You probably have wait until AVG reply to your question, unless some other users have the answer. Sorry.
I disabled it before and then after as it enabled itself
thanks anyway matie
Thanks a ton! This helped alot, and finally worked! XD
