How do I get Firefox to show folders at the top of the bookmarks list?
I would like the bookmark folders (categories) to show up at the top of the bookmarks list, followed by bookmarks that are not in separate folders, as in IE. How can I do this? The reason I put bookmarks in folders is so that I don't have to scroll all the way down to where the folder may be in the alphabetical list. I don't know if I'm unusual but I have over 200 bookmarks, many categorized in folders (but many not) and trying to scroll down to a folder that starts with an 'R', for instance, is tedious. Thanks.

Open the sidebar with CTRL+I, then press and hold down the left mouse button on the folder you want to move and then move the mouse upwards (or downwards).
You can also achieve the same thing in the Bookmarks manager (CTRL+SHIFT+B).

When I press ctrl-shift-b all that happens is the bookmarks menu opens up. I don't see any bookmark manager.
Also, I already know about the ctrl-I way to sort bookmarks manually. I was hoping for an automated approach as I have about 2 dozen bookmark folders and it's annoying having to move each one to the top in the right order. I was also wrong about the total number of bookmarks I have. Including the folders I have over 700.
I'll give the addon a try. Hopefully it will help me.
Thanks guys.
