I got an invite to Google Plus. When I went to the site, it said my Firefox was out of date and needed updating. So I did, to 5.0.1 Even my "about Firefox" says it's up to date. However, when I got to Google Plus it still says it's out of date and when I go to the Mozilla Firefox page it too says it needs updating.

Same computer that you posted here with?

If so, your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed, and it says you are running Firefox 3.0.11, not Firefox 5.0.1.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.
Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
Then restart Firefox

Thank you! Worked like a charm, even though I thought I was never going to get through all that was to be reset.
