Frequently when I check my plugins, Shockwave Flash needs updated. When I try to download it, nothing happens. I need to update Shockwave Flash 10.3r183.

IIRC at one point I had a temperamental plugin that dealt with Adobe updates. I know on some occasions I have resorted to searching the Adobe site for alternative download links, but I only currently have the following one bookmarked http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe and I have not used it recently, but it still appears likely to work.

It may be worth checking your security software incase that is blocking updates or downloads from certain sites.

A problem in the past, was that Adobe would try to download Flashplayer 11 for OSX 10.6, when I am running OSX 10.5.8.

I just tried previous link and it's not working now. Here's how to check your version of Flashplayer: Check the status of Flashplayer version . Mine was version 11, not version 15. I'm going to uninstall flashplayer before reinstalling. Uninstall Flashplayer Here's link to download latest flashplayer versions Download latest version of Flashplayer I've not done it all yet, but hope it helps.
