Firefox warns me both my bank site are untrustworthy. Why, when they work well with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer
I bank online with US Bank and with Planters Bank in MS using both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and used to with Mozilla Firefox. However, my computer crashed and with this new one, I can still bank online with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer but when I try to use Mozilla Firefox, I am warned that both my banking sites are not to be trusted. Why is that?

It is possible that the server doesn't send a required intermediate certificate.
Can you post a link?
My server is suddenlink.net. But that hasn't seemed to affect Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

I'm not seeing any secure links on that page and a check confirms that the certificate is OK.
Do you have any extensions that force a secure connection?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

my computer skill level is 2. Level 1 is on. Level 2 is off.
On my desktop is the Mozilla Firefox icon. How do I stare Firefox in [Safe Mode]? The only DEFAULT I've seen is do I want Firefox to be my default browser.
Incidentally, I appreciate your help.
Do you see the https protocol in the location bar used on the page where you see that problem?
Can you post a link to a specific page if the page doesn't require authentication (log in) to access it?
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in Safe mode:
- Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)
Did you look at the Save mode KB article?

Thanks for trying to save me. I'm calling it quits. In the third grade, in 1935, the transition from pencil to ink (inkwell, nib stuck into wooden handle) was much easier than this. And I thought computers were supposed to make life easier. Again, thanks for the effort. As Internet Explorer and Google Chrome are doing the job, I'll stick with them. Best...Ken@22
