Several newspaper websites now download without the usual graphics and just text and also without some pictures, other sites are ok, and all sites are fine in Explorer. I have downloaded an update to Firefox but this has not solved the problem. I didn't make any changes that caused this problem. Note I tried to update my graphics driver but the last version I could find was 10.2 not 10.6 - see troubleshooting info.

Did you install some readability extension such as "Readability" or "Evernote Clearly" the point of them to remove unimportant columns to the left and right on blogs and just have the essential in a simpler format that is larger and easier to read -- most pictures would be removed along with advertising.

I didn't realize that I'd be able to see your extensions, and I don't see anything that looks like that among yours. The closest is the Browser Highlighter but that is disabled. You do have Skype which is listed as a problematic extension and is reported to mess up rich text formatting and drop pictures.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.
