I am trying to import a previous Firefox bookmarks.html file but it doesn't update.

I exported from Firefox because I had to reinstall it but it won't import anything from the bookmarks.html file eventhough the file has all the data in it.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I installed my current 5.0 version and installed 9.0 but after choosing the html file to import the window just sits there. I thought uninstalling would address both suggestions (update and delete the places* files) but it didn't so I manually deleted the places* files and that worked. Of course I use Sandboxie so when I run Mozilla through it, the bookmarks are still wrong but if I run it outside Sandboxie it works. Still trying to figure that one out but I know it's not for this forum.  :-)
