Why is my Firefox background pink after updating and the palettes in the options contain ONLY shades of pink?
After the update to 12.0, my browser has changed to pink. Attempting to change the colors back (after reading the forum posts) I discovered that the palettes were entirely pink.
I did start Firefox in safe mode and the pink went away, suggesting that one of my add-ons was to blame, but after disabling all of them one at a time (except for the default theme ...the only one I have) the pink remained.

Did you try to disable hardware acceleration?

Try to start it in safe mode, and change to default theme.
Did you install a persona?
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
Avenged, default is my only theme. I did try another, just to see if it helped, but that made the pink worse.
cor-el, I do not have a persona installed.
Do you see the pink in the user interface (toolbar) area or in the web page (browser) area?
You can check the default colors if it happens on web pages.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors
- [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
cor-el -yes, pink is in the interface area. The selection to allow pages to choose their own colors is selected. I am wondering if an uninstall/reinstall might clear this up.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

In my initial post, I explained that I already had started in safe mode and the pink was gone. But disabling my add-ons one at a time did not fix my problem. And, once again ...the default is my ONLY theme.
