I have Firefox 13.0.1 on Mac OS X. A few days ago, Google pages started loading very slowly (taking several minutes to perform a search or open Gmail). I have had no problems with Safari -- Google pages load instantly there. And the ONLY site that I'm having problems with on Firefox is Google. I tried clearing my cache as someone suggested. That didn't work. I've tried disabling my extensions and plug-ins but that didn't help either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I found the solution to my problem in another thread: https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/928182#answer-339386

In about:config, I changed "network.http.keep-alive" to "true" and now Google works fine. I'm not sure what caused the problem in the first place, but that fixed it for me.

Yes, i have exactly the same problem and i'm now using chrome because without goolge loading properly firefox is useless to me.

I don't know if this is something intencional by firefox but if that is a fact then it is an huge shot in the foot IMHO.

Like you i have tested with other browsers, chrome and IE and everything loads fast with no problems at all. Only with firefox. An example is loading the google home page. Takes ages to stop loading and only after that i can insert some words in the search box and then another ages to load. Unbelievable.

In addition, I updated the variable "network.http.keep-alive.timeoutnetwork.http.keep-alive.timeout" value from 115 to 215. I belief this would kept the network alive longer. It seems to help speed up my Firefox. Before, it was struggling loading pages.

I think this Firefox release v13.0.1 on MAC OSX 10.7.4 is buggy or slow, something(s) must have changed.
