The address bar shows pages I have previously entered manually, and then cleared the history of all this pages and pages connected with it.
1. I enter the page in the address bar (i.e.: cnn.com) 2. I click on some of the links in the page - the address of the main page is still the same (i.e.: i click on some of the articles on cnn.com) 3. I search the history and delete/clear all pages that have same main page (i.e.: all pages with address cnn.com - main page and all articles,...)
In the address bar in ff 14 I can still find the entered page (i.e.: cnn.com), in ff 13 that didn't happen - when clearing the history that page was gone in address bar too. This happens mainly with the pages i enter manually in the address bar.

Hi,
To clear the history including the history currently in memory (i.e. the back button) you can try to Clear Recent History via Tools (Alt + T), choose an appropriate Time range to clear and under Details choose Browsing and download history. If you clear the history in another way, then you would have to close and restart Firefox.
Hi,
clearing recent history clears the address bar of those pages that could have stayed if i would clear the history manually, but the problem is that clearing recent history clears all recent history, not just the pages I want. Clearing history in another way and then closing and restarting FF, still leaves the unwanted pages in address bar.
After clearing the history normally, you can try to exit and restart Firefox, ideally with a single tab and check before visiting the site. If the site appears, then it could have been bookmarked. You can also try to check the bookmarks for the site or its sub domains.
If the problem persists, you can also check in a new profile.
I've tried to exit and restart FF, but the problem still existed. None of the sites are bookmarked.
I've tried if the problem exists also on other computers, and I've found that all computers that have FF 14 have the same problem. Computers with FF 12 or 13 didn't have this problem, but after upgrading to FF 14 they have it too.
One reason could that a sub domain or the resource part of the site exists in the history. Firefox by default would only show the domain name. Another reason could be that the history entry is older than what has been cleared. You can also try to search for the domain in the History library ((Alt + S) > Show All History) and clear all results.
Before I posted here I have searched the history for the domain and deleted all pages with this domain from history, but the page was still in address bar.
I've found out now, that some of the pages that remain in the address bar, could not be found in history (i.e. if I visit 5 pages, 4 pages are shown in history and I delete them, the 5th page is not shown in history and it is shown in the address bar).
It's interesting that this happened after upgrading FF to 14 and not just on 1 computer.
