Whenever i would Google something and whatever search pages came available, I'm not sure if but i believe i would place my cursor on the preview arrow on the right of each page and the preview would be available with certain passages highlighted and i would be asked if i would like to "jump to this". I would like this feature back, it was very helpful!

I've never noticed any jumps available in the preview image, but Google does serve different results to different users sometimes as it experiment with changes to its results format. If you can recall a particular search that gave this result, we could compare apple-to-apples.

Do you still see the preview if you hover the preview chevron?
